B2B marketing, B2C marketing - what's the difference? I was chatting to a client the other week about this. Their view was that the two disciplines are *very* different. I disagree. ???? My perspective is that marketing fundamentals are called fundamentals for a reason. Because they're true whichever discipline you're working in. Our first job as marketers is to understand the situation, the business, the brand, the target audience, the competition etc. Job 2 is to develop a strategy. Where are we going to play and how are we going to win. What sort of messages are motivating and how might we deliver those? Then we execute. This is where B2B & B2C move apart in my experience. It's the choice of channels, how to execute and tactics that may differ. #marketing #B2B #B2C #BrandBuilding
