Something to Celebrate!!! To celebrate is to commemorate something worthy of acknowledging. What cause do you have to celebrate??? #1 Start with gratitude.?What do you have to be grateful for?? #2 Consider celebrating those who have helped you today, this week, this past month, this past year, or those who have supported you.? #3 Celebrate what you have achieved over the years, and the obstacles you have overcome, or celebrate that today is a new day and you get to start fresh and new!? There is always something and or someone to celebrate. When we acknowledge those people and those things in our lives, we etch in our brains and bodies that life is happening in a good way.?We feel the sensation of goodness, happiness, and joy.?Our body stores these emotions and when we recall those celebratory moments, we can feel them all over again!?Which can then be a driving force to repeated encounters and or behaviors that lead to more celebratory moments.

My 80th birthday party was a few months back. ?? The celebration was incredible! And it wasn’t JUST for me. It was for all the women who attended. Women in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and even a few in their 70s came to celebrate with me. I took them through several deep, transformative exercises to embrace their womanhood, and one of those exercises continues to surprise me every time. I asked each woman to recall as many ancestors as they could… … But ONLY on their mother’s side. I was only concerned about matrilineal ancestors. And guess how far back most could go? Only TWO (maybe three) generations. ?? That meant they could only name their mother and grandmother, and that was it. How sad is that? Women’s contributions have historically primarily been forgotten. I could only name two generations and was facilitating the exercise (yes, even me)! But my Mom died when I was young. She never got to live out her legacy. I never wanted that to happen to me and SHE IS the reason why it won’t. SHE is what sparked the work I do today: lifting women up to their full potential. I am making my mark on the world and empowering other women to do the same. ??Now is the time to BUILD YOUR LEGACY. ?? Your great-granddaughters, great-great-granddaughters, and so on will be able to NAME you and what you contributed to the world. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I believe your BEST work can be accomplished in the last 5% of your life. But that doesn’t mean you have to wait that long. You can start NOW.
