Most entrepreneurs say they want to scale. But in reality, most aren’t set up for it. Benjamin Hardy, PhD, co-author of 10X Is Easier Than 2X, puts it bluntly: "Most businesses were never designed to scale in the first place. The entrepreneur isn’t looking at their system honestly enough to admit that the majority of what they do will never scale." Most of us get caught in incremental thinking - tweaking, optimizing, adding more complexity - when real growth comes from doing less, better. Ben calls this "raising the floor." Instead of trying to squeeze more out of everything, you eliminate what’s dragging you down. That means: - Cutting products, clients, and tasks that don’t move the needle - Focusing only on the 20% of activities driving 80% of your results - Setting real 10X goals with a deadline that forces bold decisions And here’s the real kicker: "If you don’t set a bold enough target, you won’t force yourself to make the hard decisions that scaling requires."
