I can't tell you how much I used to dread "forced fun." Losing hours of my life with no ROI with the additional pressure of needing to cajole my team into participating. Insult on top of injury. "Team building" always needs a business reason so participants can understand why they are being asked to take time away from the work they need to get done and invest it into time with their colleagues. This business reason informs the tone and content of our time together and participants always get a say in how that time is spent. We had a great time last week with the staff from Macdonald Portal Hotel Golf and Spa. Here they are working together in a Last Team Standing challenge. This is the team-building activity that pits teams head-to-head as they battle it out in a series of games, which are designed to test quick reactions, balance, speed, co-ordination, memory and logic - there's an opportunity for every attendee to shine! ?
