This is one of my A Miracle In The Making collection abstract montages featuring Taylor Swift! And yes I took the original photos as well. Over 40 years I made 600 of these composites or montages from my fine art photographs. This is another complicated process that takes fine art portraits of people that I add textures to and otherwise paint the individual layers on the computer. Then I make micro-adjustments to the individual layers so parts of them show through others. Then I compile them into one abstract image. What makes my art so unique is my use of digitally painted abstract layers that cause each viewer to have different perceptions of what they are observing.?It is a unique technique that leads viewers to have false affirmations of what they see, as well as challenges to the conscious mind to see what exists. The term for this psychological effect is scotomisation. These shapes, patterns, and illusions often lead to the viewer working to find objects in his pieces and to moments when the individual has a “eureka moment” or epiphany. One of a series of some larger format paintings (this one is 4 feet x 4 feet), with aluminum paint base, I did back in 2006. I was experimenting with materials and composition. The alternative material, aluminum paint typically used for radiators, and de-centering identifying information, the perception of iconography in composition. Specifically, on how much/little of a classic logo needed to be depicted to be recognizable. (Kind of like in music identification, name that tune, finding the iconic ones where I can name that tune in one note. Example the first tone of MJ’s “Beat It,” from the Thriller lp.)

**Why We Should Love Cartoonists and Illustrators** I had this thought: What really is the difference between the many renowned old painters whose names we repeat endlessly and these illustrators with less familiar names? For me, this question is far from new. One thing is clear—though this is my personal opinion and judgment—based on the purity of art itself, its ability to convey, and its value and influence (regardless of size and materials), I must say, there are times when I feel that many of the so-called great old masters actually lag behind these lesser-known illustrators in terms of skill, content, and fresh sense of style. In most cases, the legendary masters maintain a fixed perspective and conventional compositions, while illustrators create a sense of tension in the visual space, carefully choosing perspectives and using the space fully, creating dynamic compositions that captivate the viewer like magic. Wouldn't it be fair to say that the expanded perspectives we see in comics, illustrations, and fashion serve as the umbilical cord of modern and contemporary fine art? I am not a critic, nor someone who spends time studying these fields in depth, so I can't give a flawless answer at this point. However, we must acknowledge that their mystical worlds of imagination have enhanced our visual experiences and expanded the breadth of our thinking. They were recognized as famous artists during their lifetimes, yet being labeled as 'illustrators' should not diminish or undervalue them compared to fine artists. If fine art was the source of illustration, comics, and design, then these artists, in turn, became the saviors that revived the stagnant currents of fine art. If I were an art collector, without a doubt, I would have collected the works of these old illustrators first. It is their generation’s works that truly amaze me, not the works of those who are currently adored in today’s art market. It might sound amusing, but let’s imagine something. If I were a billionaire, instead of displaying an outrageously expensive painting in my large living room, I’d rather put a beautifully designed car there, regardless of its production year. And also, I’d place an old carriage or car in the garden, so when a friend visits, we could sit in it, tune into 106.5 FM on the radio, and have coffee together—haha. Great design is, of course, art. The only difference is that there’s just more of it out there."
