Thoughtful Friday consideration for your agents. ?? Managers at call centers and BPOs must keep agent goals and expectations within reach. Key words here: within reach.??? Whichever KPI you're focusing on, how are you nurturing the agent to excel with their strengths? Are you catering to performance goals that reflect the particular talents of individuals? You have a very diverse team. Therefore, not every task may be reachable for everyone, but there are some on the team. Are you setting expectations with a positive attitude of care? If you strive for your agents to succeed or obtain certain achievements, your attitude and encouragement play a huge role as a leader. Coach agents in a way that shows you value their efforts, that they're respected, and that they find new ways of keeping the team motivated. And remember: keep agent goals within reach through a positive work culture! ??♀? #fridaymotivation #managerdevelopment #callcenterlife #reachinggoals

Do you want to improve your performance or that of your team? These are the three simple steps you'll need to take... ?? 1. Develop an awareness of what needs to change 2. Develop a strategy for change 3. Implement that strategy with an accountability partner and assess yourself regularly so that the necessary performance change can occur Simples. However, in our work, we see many people and teams get it wrong, just enough at each stage, that the performance change they seek doesn't happen. They get frustrated and go back to where they were. If you are frustrated where you are right now, have tried to change unsuccessfully and want to do something about it, consider starting a conversation with me. The MTQPlus is a superb tool for developing awareness of what might need to change on an individual and team level. #mindset #performance #teamcoaching

Feedback can be a game changer for yourself & for your teams. Each one of you (me included) have blind spots. That's how we are designed. Quality of leadership is to know this, and to be open to receiving feedback of these blind spots and to make change. Feedback is a skill. You just don't assume and throw around your perceptions & assumptions. Sharing & receiving feedback is a skill which each individual must learn. You will learn, if your intention is to nurture relationships, and if you put your ego aside and place people first. #Business, success is never about you, it's about adding value & creating impact in the lives of others - your team, your customers, your organization. Eventually it will all come back to you. Giving good feedback will: - Grow trust - Encourage growth - Inspire to improve - Strengthen relationships - Improve good behaviour - Empower your team to act - Turn around bad behaviour - Help people progress fast - Correct miscommunications - Provide open communication - Clarify goals and expectations - Identify areas for people to develop - Ensure everyone understands their role - Shows them how their actions affect others - Create an environment where people thrive - Support your team to make smarter choices And even more importantly:? Creates an environment where your team feel safe to give their feedback. #feedbackculture

Thinking critically - on a team that is being able to think like a critic that is an ally. When a team member thinks critically, they will communicate in a helpful way to strive for team success. This is an important skill for so many things including problem solving, coaching, and continuous improvement. Leaders need to think critically and communicate to their team as their ally that is also an honest critic of the team and its team members. For this to work, the team has to trust one another and be able to give and receive this information with the understanding that everyone is working toward the same goal of producing the best work possible, both as individuals and as a team. Being critical is not the same thing. When someone is simply being critical, they are not communicating with a goal of helping their team member, or the overall team. They are usually communicating in a way that benefits them by putting others down. #goldenrule

Your people deserve the opportunity to improve. As a manager, almost everything you do will have the potential to trigger conflict. You have to make decisions that not everyone will like, and you can only do that if you are comfortable with conflict. The best place to start is with your team. The next time you find yourself avoiding a difficult conversation, use these five lenses to remind yourself why you must get over your fears and get on with it. You have a duty of care to your people. If you learn to put yourself in your people’s shoes, your duty of care to them will outweigh your fear of giving them critical feedback. You can’t get results from a sub-par team. The job of a leader is to build a high-performing team, and it’s impossible to do unless you can challenge, coach, and confront your people to bring out their best. Your people deserve the opportunity to improve. Choosing not to give constructive feedback because you don’t want to hurt their feelings robs them of this opportunity. Everyone knows the strong and weak performers. When top performers see poor performance tolerated, they become disenchanted (and are more likely to leave). What if you need to let them go? Before you go down this path, you must be confident that you’ve done everything you can to help them. #leadershipgoals #hbr #happyteam

Dear Freedom Achievers, As a leader, effective delegation is a crucial skill that can significantly impact your team's productivity, engagement, and overall success.? Introducing the BPD approach - Brief, Participate, Debrief - a practical strategy to empower your team and foster a collaborative working environment. 1. Brief: Clearly communicate the task, goals, and expectations. Provide all the necessary information and resources your team needs to succeed. A well-defined brief sets the stage for successful execution and prevents misunderstandings. 2. Participate: Involve your team members in the decision-making process. Encourage their input, ideas, and suggestions. This not only taps into their expertise but also cultivates a sense of ownership and accountability.
