I'm Michael, part of the concept family of companies and today we're at the IMS 2024 show and we're in the Vt booth. I've got totally here. Tully, thanks for spending time with me. Glad to be here. Michael, we've got some new product technology from BG here, right? What is the confocal sensor? Tell me about that. So the confocal sensor allows you to inspect the parts in 3D. This is a beam of white light that gets split into the colors of the rainbow and based on the color that reflects off the part, it allows the system to build up a depth map that allows you to see features that we usually would not be able to see with the conventional optics such as splines. OK, so it's a good solution for splines. Absolutely. Other sensors that are on the the Techno series machine. So we talked about confocal. What other sensors are available? You've got the confocal and the touch probe option on large chassis techno systems. Such as the 14 and 18 systems, you can actually have both of them. And then what's the size range in the technical family of products? What's the smallest one? What's the largest one? The smallest member of the techno family is going to be used 304 systems. That's gonna be a length of 300mm and a part diameter 40mm. And we go all the way up to the 2018 system, part length of 2000mm, that's about 6 foot 6 inches. And then that part diameter can go up to about 180 millimeters. You know, I've noticed probably the software is a little different. The last time I was here, why don't we take a look at the new Sovereigns? So what's the new software named? It's called Dream. Dream is the future of each edition. OK, so we're still supporting the older softer, but Dream is the future. So what's what's different? Right. Tell me about what's different on the user interface. That does look a lot different than the previous software. Yeah. If you're used to MTL, you're going to be able to carry a lot of your experience over to the new software. Number one is an updated look. They've added new controls that make it easier to. Quickly make measurements we've got the trends screen now this allows you to get your process capability without having to install any extra software. You can leave this open on a second monitor that's very popular with customers use dual monitors and you've got your own statistical data recording software and the use of third party That's that's a nice improvement and that's standard for all training software package that comes standard great. I'm going to switch into programming mode to show you Vivian the new program in the system so Vivian. Can you tell me about your Vivian? So our Vivian lives in the lower left hand corner of the screen. OK, I'm going to pull out a tool and she's gonna guide you step by step through programming. So she guides you through the programming process. So she asks, where do you want to measure? I want to measure this radius right here. I'm going to drag on the screen. That's the new controls in Dream. Adjust your box a little bit. Click OK, It asks you some details about the measurement that you want to do. It's just a nominal size and tolerances and you're done. Our quality engineers, our quality managers get pulled in more directions where more hats than ever before. And it's Vivian is a really good way to help stay fresh without spending 8 hours a day on the system. And also it's a really good way to help renewer operators get them up to speed writing programs that repeat and function well in a very short amount of time. Good. So all systems are automation capable, Yes. And come automation ready, others have to have that added on in the future if you didn't plan for it the beginning.
