My journey in English literature began in college life, where I was introduced to the history of English literature, classic novels and poetry etc. At first, i found the language challenging, but as I read more, I started to appreciate the beauty of words and the depth of storytelling. ?? During my college and university life, i like literature deepened, i explored various history like American literature,Indian literature, African literature and many more etc. I enjoyed discussing texts with my mates and professors, which enriched my understanding and appreciation of literature. #Literaryanalysis #LiteraryCriticism #LiteratureCommunity #Englishliterature #Indianliterature #Dalitliterature #Poetry #Drama #Fiction

The challenges in teaching and learning poetry in secondary schools are evident, but the potential for transformation through applied poetry is equally compelling. Thus, by addressing the disconnect between traditional poetry and students' realities, educators can unlock the door to a more enriching and accessible exploration of this literary art. It is also pertinent to mention that literature in general is a tool for societal change and development, but scarcely taught from that prism in our secondary schools today. I advocate for a more deliberate and problem solving approach in the classroom when we discuss literary texts and literary concepts. With this, we will be able to nurture creative, innovative, and independent minds that can advocate or speak to salient issues through literature for a better and a more inclusive and just society. ? #ChangingTheNarrative.
