Can anyone help me either the below question?
Question: what can I do? I worked in an inpatient Drug treatment center as a residential assistant. It was 20 clients and I worked from 11:00pm to 7:00am by myself. I was told to turn off the lights. The other RA’s wore handguns to work and around the building. To me this was a dangerous environment. Is it anything that I could do to make this place safe for the clients and staff??

Isabel, Max and Shannon are paramedics who work as secondary triage clinicians in Vancouver Dispatch Operations Centre. Although most people associate emergency services with life-threatening events like heart attacks and serious car accidents, about 50% of 911 calls are for non-life-threatening emergencies, such as cuts, wounds, sprains, muscle strains or mild illness. Isabel, Max and Shannon speak to 911 callers with less acute medical concerns and help determine if they need an ambulance or if they’d be better served by another care pathway, like visiting an urgent primary care centre or monitoring their symptoms at home. Max’s favorite part of his job is using new virtual assessment tools to help evaluate patients. Isabel says her favorite part of the job is “being able to spend the time to be more thorough with patient care.” For Shannon, the most rewarding part of her work is “matching patients with the most appropriate care for their needs.” #NPSTW #NationalPublicSafteyTelecommunicatorsWeek
