On #WorldCancerDay, let's stand together against the global cancer burden! ??? Led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), this movement promotes advocacy and equity within the cancer community. The 2022-2024 campaign “Close the Care Gap” is a multi-year effort to inspire change in cancer care. 2022 kicked off with a focus on understanding global inequities in cancer care and reducing stigma. This was followed by 2023, which was all about uniting voices and taking actions to make a difference. This year’s goal is to raise our voices, engage leaders and advocate for a collective effort to combat health inequities! This week, the Medicare Multi-Cancer Early Detection Screening Coverage Act hit a monumental milestone: 60 (bipartisan) Senate cosponsors!? ?? The Prevent Cancer Foundation appreciates the leadership of Sens. Crapo, Bennet, Scott and Cardin on this legislation to ensure that Medicare beneficiaries, and their health care providers, have access to these transformative new early detection tests.? ??
