Thank you to Tom's Yard Care of Walla Walla for their generous donation in support of the new food pantry at Greenpark Elementary School. The donation allows Communities in Schools to stock the pantry for the month of October and get the resources and supplies out to students. Your support of the students and families at Greenpark is greatly appreciated. Tom's Yard Care is a local Walla Walla business run by Tom Richard. Tom supports causes throughout the valley, many of which support students. If you're in need of yard care, check out them out. Thanks Tom's Yard Care for your support!

For the month of July, our Who I Am Foundation volunteers in #Albuquerque are hosting our 11th Annual Back-to-School Supply Drive to help children in need begin the school year with all of the tools they need for academic success. With so many uncertainties about how children will return to school and what the classroom will look like, they need your help more than ever. Families with children in K-12 spent a projected $519 per child on back-to-school needs last year. For families in low-income neighborhoods, the costs are simply not realistic. Donating new school supplies to children in disadvantaged communities will make an impact on their ability to begin the school year school-ready. Items we are collecting: -Pencils -Pens -Composition Books -Combination Locks -Scientific Calculators -5-Subject Notebooks -Tissues -Hand Sanitizer -Wet Wipes -Trapper Keepers -Colored Pencils -Markers -Protractors -Paint Sets -Glue Bottles -Notebook Paper -Highlighters -Scissors -Sharpeners -Pocket Folders To donate, simply comment below and we'll have a volunteer coordinate a donation pick up!! #TeamWhoIAm_Albuquerque

The Smithson Public School in Kitchener has had the same playground structure for over 25 years!?It is a cornerstone of our community and unfortunately, it is facing imminent closure. This closure will not only deprive the children at Smithson School of a safe and engaging play space but also affect the families in our Rosemount community who rely on the school yard and play structure as one of the few accessible playgrounds. Currently, the playground is being repaired by parents/community members who take it upon themselves to “sneak in” and do small repairs to keep the structure functioning and safe for our children. However, as stated above the current play structure is approaching a state of disrepair, and its closure is inevitable. Our goal is to raise money to replace the playground structure this year. We have been doing our best this past year and have raised a fraction of the needed cost. As you may know these structures are not cheap.?We need your help!?Every donation, big or small, will make significant impact for us to reach our goal and help the dream of a new playground come true for our Smithson Students! Your consideration means a lot to us. Donation Instructions: You can contribute through the?Waterloo Education Foundation Inc (WEFI).?https://lnkd.in/gtV9A9np?following this step: 1. Please ensure you select?Smithson PS 0111?from the drop down under “Apply your donation to a fund set up by this charity”.? 2. Please put a comment that your donation is for the playground. Please know that?100%?of your donation goes towards the playground. Donations exceeding $5,000 will be acknowledged with a prominent engraving on a commemorative plaque.

Don’t forget that period supplies are school supplies. We’re proud to donate to schools within our Clark County School District, charter and private schools. This is just a small sample of the schools we’re proud to donate to. 1 in 4 girls miss school each month because they don’t have period supplies. Let’s help all students stay in school all month long, even when they have their period. PERIOD #endperiodpoverty #period #marilyn #periodposse #periodsuppliesareschoolsupplies

A little off topic today but this is near and dear to me. As a parent and advocate for education, I've witnessed firsthand the incredible impact of the GT (Gifted and Talented) program on our children's lives. Unfortunately, due to state budget cuts, our daughter's GT program, SPIRAL, is facing imminent restructuring, which would significantly diminish the quality of instruction next year. But there's hope, and you can be a part of it. The PTA is rallying support to preserve the SPIRAL program through donations to the Spring Branch Educational Foundation (SBEF). Your contribution will directly aid in sustaining this vital program, ensuring that our children continue to receive the enrichment and education they deserve. Here's how you can help: 1. Click here to donate through PayPal: https://lnkd.in/gtz5uzkt (Note: PayPal fees apply, and covering these fees would be immensely helpful.) 2. Mail a check made out to Spring Branch Educational Foundation with "Save SPIRAL" in the memo line to: Spring Branch Education Foundation Attention: Save SPIRAL 955 Campbell Rd., Suite 206 Houston, TX 77024 Your generosity will make a significant difference in the lives of our students. Plus, your donation is tax-deductible, as SBEF is a 501c3 organization (EIN# 76-0392316). #EducationMatters #SupportOurStudents *31% of SPIRAL kids come from Title 1 schools.?

Please donate, like, or share:?https://gofund.me/ec936af4 Last year, BEESY set out to help the children of Ni?os Felices orphanage with two primary goals: 1. Prepare the older children for success and safety upon exiting 2. Lay the groundwork for the younger children to cultivate a robust education and set of transferrable skills ? We are happy to share that BEESY has continued our relationship with the amazing kids at Ni?os Felices! It was phenomenal to see them growing up, mastering English, and achieving their full potential. ? We’re immensely grateful to be able to enact real, substantial change in the lives of these remarkable children. Please join us in this endeavor by donating to our GoFundMe Campaign:?https://gofund.me/ec936af4 ?
