I’m thrilled to announce that, as a member of ICPC, I will be attending the workshop Investigating DIGITAL SOVEREIGNTY: Theories, Methods, and Empirical Challenges, part of the PRIN project Digital Sovereignty in Comparative Perspective: State Authority, Corporate Power, and Fundamental Rights in Cyberspace. ?? The event will be held on November 14th and 15th at the University of Salerno in collaboration with the University of Padua. I look forward to exploring the pressing challenges surrounding digital sovereignty. ?? As part of the workshop, I will present my research titled The Concept of Digital Sovereignty in the Microprocessor Value Chain. Daniele Canavese, a CNRS postdoc researcher at the IRIT laboratory (Toulouse, France), shared his expertise as a guest at Cubit Innovation Labs (Cascina, Italy) for about three weeks. Daniele presented a seminar titled "Translating the AIA and the CRA into software and organizational requirements". Daniele's research was also partially supported by ICO (Institut Cybersécurité Occitanie) and EU-CHECK. The seminar focused on the practical application of the Artificial Intelligence Act and the Cyber Resilience Act from a developer's perspective. It advocated a compliance-by-design approach, which mandates the design and development of software/hardware products by constantly considering the current European legislation, especially for high-risk components. These regulations are not mere best practices or standards but laws. Failing to comply with them means a product will not be available in the European market. https://lnkd.in/eT8AX84M
