Four years later and I’ve never regretted a Monday working at Salesforce Alignment is key for overall happiness and longevity. Things that aligned for me: - Being in service to help others achieve their dreams - Showing up as my authentic self. - Speak and dress the way the suites me which includes competing with Mark Grimwood’s shoe game (check out my new kicks btw) - Making authentic connections at evey level of the org - Being supported and allows to grow in whichever direction I choose. How I Used LinkedIn to Get Into Salesforce & How I’d used LI to Land my next job: Step 1: Engagement - Follow and engage with industry leaders like Andre Norman, Omar Lucero-Sanchez, Alex Bruschi, Darren McKee -- Apply their insights and strategies. - Use LinkedIn to filter for RVPs, AEs, and AVPs in your area. Start networking with industry specific people at Salesforce -- observing what they're discussing and ask about for intros to top performers and what they did to break into. Step 2: Stand Out (Dale Dupree style) - Download Slack on your personal devices and start direct messaging leaders and hiring managers. Be proactive! - I sent video and voice messages to make a stronger connection. Show up at your local Salesforce office. The front desk can often guide you to which leaders or teams are present. Take every opportunity to network in person. Step 3: Post Your Wins - Share your wins, learnings, and discoveries from your current role. It shows growth and relevance. Things NOT to do: - Don't apply for a role and immediately ask for a referral. Build genuine relationships first. P.S. it took me over 4 years to finally get into Salesforce. Stay Active.

This fiscal year, Salesforce global marketing reached out to me while I was in Vegas at a Company Kickoff and they told me that they identified me as a Top-23 employee among 80,000 global employees… … for my LinkedIn engagement… They added me to an exclusive Slack channel… I was speechless… I talked to my manager Rama immediately about it, and she celebrated the fact that not only can I help thousands of people all over the earth but help Salesforce as a company with my global influence. I love Salesforce, and yes, I gladly leveraged my global influence to help my employer while helping thousands of Salesforce Professionals all over this planet. The truth is… I am very regular, completely average, nothing special. Growing up very poor, raised by a single mother on welfare, I dreamed of education that could help me build a peaceful life someday. Though my mom was working, Soviet Union paid her very little money. So, we were always on welfare. We lived in a small old Soviet condo with my mom’s original family. Alcoholism and violence reigned in my childhood home. It was a warfare zone, with police present often. My father was in prison for various crimes, but he never acknowledged or accepted me anyway. I thought if I proved to be smart, one day he’d come running and accept me as his daughter (it never happened of course!) I dreamed of earning education by going to a university (an impossible dream as my mom would bring me back to reality any time I shared this aspiration, and she’d say: “Who do you think you are?! You are the daughter of a JANITOR!) My mom was a janitor for a local railroad. I developed a growth-mindset, genuine gratitude, and intentional optimism. I cultivated character qualities such as work ethic, commitment to learning, consistency of effort, sharp focus, goal-setting skills, and growth mindset. Anyone can achieve their ambitions if they practice #GrowthMindset I think the reason why this new LinkedIn profile generated so much engagement after trailblazers asked me to get back on LinkedIn (I deleted my LinkedIn permanently in 2020, along with Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram - all on the same day in October of 2020 after I delivered my TEDx talk, which changed many lives)… Anyways, the reason why my new LinkedIn profile has so much engagement is because I’ve been sharing my real story: - no toxic positivity - no happiness illusion - just my actual real life of many struggles, ab..se, viol..nce, suffering, rejection… and thriving in the midst of adversity because I chose to practice a Growth Mindset Below ???? is my story, as documented by Salesforce this fiscal year, after I have not only achieved my own ambitious career goals but also helped more than 1,000 professionals in the #SalesforceEcosystem achieve their career goals through my Growth-Mindset mentorship and coaching, for which Salesforce honored me with the iconic Golden Hoodie Award at CKO25 in Las Vegas ???? ???? ????

I know some of yal are about to eviscerate me for this but #RTO ain’t that bad. Wait!! I mean, hear me out - I’m crushing my steps goal. Up 100% closer 15k per day. - Energy levels are high because im not desk ridden from the moment I get up. - I’m loving on my kids more because I get to miss them - I get to see one of my mentors daily - I get to bug my manager each time I have a question instead of waiting for a return slack. (I’ve approached her more than she’s come to me ??) - I get to see beautiful views everyday and my mental is clearer. Perks of working at the Salesforce tower. - I had a coffee chat with a VP and have direct access to more especially as captive elevator buddies ??
