???? Jaffa Cake Pranks & Lessons Learned: A Five-Year Flashback! ???? Five years ago, my colleagues pulled off a Jaffa Cake switcheroo on me - I'd been devouring Aldi Jaffa Cakes from a McVitie's box, thinking they were the originals. ???? It got me thinking: even something as fun as a prank can offer up some real lessons for work and life. Here's what I took away from it: ?? Assumptions can mislead you. I was blind to some obvious differences and biased toward my favourite brand. In testing, unchecked assumptions can be riskier than the risks we identify.? ?? Smoke & mirrors work. It's easy to be misled by the shiny and new, or by something that's only slightly different.? ?? Teamwork matters. This prank only worked because my colleagues worked together - just like in tech, a solid team makes all the difference.? ?? Timing is everything. Whether it's in pranks or presentations, nailing the timing is key to impact. The best part? It was all done in good spirits. I take it as a compliment that my team felt comfortable enough to have a laugh at my expense. ??
