Which Bank Do You Prefer To Bank With?

Certainly, it's surprising that the majority of people still prefer applying in person or speaking to someone on the phone. I mean, there are numerous new "neo banks" that offer self-service options and are experiencing significant growth as a result. Let's face it, with 50% of people leaning towards self-service, this preference carries immense weight. That's precisely why traditional banks need to adapt by embracing both approaches. This is why Santander México introduced Openbank, and why Banorte of Carlos Hank González launched bineo in Mexico. Otherwise, neo banks will continue to rapidly expand. Another interesting perspective would be to explore the opinions of those who have never had an account before.

Firstly, this is not favorable publicity, especially since they have submitted their reports to the regulators, they should have allowed them time to investigate and be the ones to make it public and not themselves. Secondly, the reports seem more like a personal attack on Segun Agbaje and GTBank rather than an effort to protect public interest. If their services were genuinely intended to safeguard the public, they could have intervened earlier to help people avoid losses at Heritage Bank before its final liquidation. Thirdly, it is not within their authority to release such findings publicly, given the potential impact on those who bank, do business with, or are employed by the institution. Even if their findings are accurate, making them public in this manner is irresponsible, given the potential ripple effects on the bank and the general public. Finally, GTBank has its own side of the story and the right to defend itself. Their perspective could significantly alter the narrative. For clarity, I do not work for GTBank, and this is purely a personal opinion. However, this situation comes across as more of a vendetta than a genuine attempt at transparency or public protection.
