Raising capital and aligning with a PE partner is a growth tool. It’s not a silver bullet. ?? Clarity is currency. Less words, more impact. ?? There is a fine line between agility and thrash. Know the difference. ?? Scaling past 3-5 clinics will get messy without great operational rigor and team alignment. ?? When it comes to process, innovation, and change, hold NO sacred cows. ?? Even if you can do it all, it doesn’t mean you should. Empower your team with tools and skills to problem solve independently. ?? You don’t need an MBA to learn finance. You need deep curiosity, commitment to learn, and real world experience. ?? If you’re stuck in the sheets, decks, and boardroom all the time you will loose real touch with the business. Week one at Fundraise Up in the books! Call me Spongebob ?? Here is what I do to stay on top of starting a new job: 1. Find one to two people you want to learn from - Asking everyone for advice is a recipe for disaster 2. Self guided training VS getting started - Get started! - If there's something you can do right now vs watching a pre-recorded training, go do that thing and engage in real time, the training will be there for you to watch later. 3. Update where you're at in the process rather than have to be asked - I ran into a small issue that ultimately took a day to rectify and I missed some onboarding and so instead of waiting till I was asked, I sent an update confirming I was caught up and on pace with expectations. 4. Conduct your own research - Just as I've conducted extensive research about the companies I interviewed with before choosing FundraiseUp, you should be doing that with your industry during the onboarding process especially if it's a new industry.
