?? Celebrating National Workforce Development Month & Manufacturing Month! ??? As Board Chair of Arapahoe/Douglas Works!, I'm proud to recognize September as National Workforce Development Month and October as National Manufacturing Month. Manufacturing is a critical driver of our local economy, contributing millions and playing a key role in our community's success. However, like many industries, manufacturing faces a talent shortage. That's why apprenticeship programs are essential to developing the next generation of skilled workers. I'm thrilled to highlight the efforts of companies like Accurate Machining of Denver and A & L Machining Inc, which are actively using apprenticeship programs to grow their workforce. As the Workforce Chair for the Rocky Mountain NTMA we've partnered with the U.S. Department of Labor to create an approved apprenticeship program for CNC machinists and Quality Technicians. This program is designed not only to bring new talent into the industry but also to upskill existing employees to meet the evolving demands of the market. A huge shoutout to Arapahoe/Douglas Works! and the Colorado Apprenticeship Hub for their incredible support in developing this program. These resources are FREE, and I highly encourage businesses to reach out and explore how apprenticeship and training programs can benefit your organization.
