Many in the legal profession are tracking the high rate of #mentalhealth issues among lawyers right back to day 1 of law school. The anxiety and stress that law students are put under to succeed and be the best, every day at law school cannot be discounted. As a result, it is high time that the industry, as a whole , demand a reconfiguration of the legal education system to 1. better prepare students for what they will ACTUALLY face after graduating 2. learn how technology is transforming the industry 3. evaluate and explore OTHER legal careers in addition to private law firms. The 2024 legal profession is wide open. Only a small percentage of each year's graduates end up in #biglaw.
