We're loading up for season 2! Jacob Knaup is coming to us from #GeorgiaTech after finishing up his PhD studies in the Dynamics and Control Systems Lab?(DCSL). Jacob will be leading up our controls team as we develop track tested, high speed control and planning algorithms.
I am pleased to share that I have joined Code19 Racing as a senior race engineer! Code19 is the world’s first professional autonomous motorsports team, developing track-tested, dual-use #AI. ?Together we will compete in global #autonomous systems competitions, including the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League (A2RL), where we will push the limits of autonomous driving in dynamic, high-risk conditions. Completing my Ph.D. at Georgia Institute of Technology has been an incredible adventure, and I am excited for the future challenges I will face at Code19 Racing. I would like to thank my advisor, Dr. Panagiotis Tsiotras, for challenging my capabilities and training me to cultivate a high level of academic rigor. I would also like to thank all my lab mates in DCSL; I am glad to have had your support along the way in this journey. I am excited to continue my #robotics research in safe and performant motion planning by developing models and algorithms to enable interactive overtaking and safe operation at the limits of the vehicle’s handling capabilities with Code19 Racing.?You can check us out at https://www.code19.ai or @code19_racing on Instagram, and keep an eye out for our next race at Yas Marina Circuit this spring!?
