Balancing a career with meaningful community engagement isn’t easy, but the rewards are immense. Outside my professional responsibilities, I’m deeply committed to public initiatives in historic preservation, politics, and transportation advocacy—causes that inspire me and create lasting, tangible impact in our communities. Managing these commitments alongside my work has taught me invaluable lessons about purpose and perspective. Community engagement demands strategic thinking, resilience, and a long-term outlook—skills that are equally vital in the workplace. My experience in transportation and historic preservation advocacy has sharpened my ability to see the bigger picture, while my professional background enables me to address community issues with a structured, solutions-oriented approach. Each side of this balance enriches the other. Community initiatives provide my work with renewed purpose, while my professional role grounds my approach to local issues in practicality.
