How do we make 2025 the best year yet? Mostly by subtraction. We are overrun by noise and distractions in today’s “busy” world. But it’s by choice not chance. So instead of addition we should subtract. If we begin by subtracting everything that we don’t need in our lives and then add a few meaningful things then life will become simpler, and most likely happier. Subtractions: Overconsumption, 24/7 advertising, social media, overtime, commuting, 24/7 news, unhealthy urgency, stress, superfluous wants, ultra processed foods, manufactured drugs, constant screen time, tech device addiction... Additions: Daily exercise, deep sleep, nutritious food, time in nature, reading books, work that matters, real friendships, having enough, kindness, face to face activities, peace of mind... The solution to most problems in life is subtraction, not addition. Fewer better things.
