At Trinity Professionals, we believe that access and opportunity are the foundation of meaningful change—principles that align with the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King’s vision was not just about equality in words but about creating a world where everyone has the chance to thrive. His leadership reminds us that justice requires action, and progress happens when we commit to fairness, inclusion, and breaking down barriers. In our work, we see how access to the right opportunities transforms careers, organizations, and communities. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to building pathways that support physicians, healthcare leaders, and the systems they serve—ensuring that great talent is connected with the institutions that need them most. Dr. King once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?’” May we all take time today to reflect on how we can use our platforms to serve, uplift, and create a better future. #MLKDay #LegacyOfService #EquityInHealthcare #Leadership

As we observe MLK Day today, it's important that we commit to learning from and understanding the entirety of Dr. King's legacy. When it comes to his work and commitment to justice, it can be easy to lose sight of how truly unpopular he was during the time he was alive. While today, he is a celebrated member of the American historical canon, his demonstrations of resistance were truly radical for their time, in that he spoke truth to power and challenged the very core of the racist system he fought against. If we want to continue Dr. King's work and build a truly equal world, we need to understand that justice is not given willingly, it is fought for and earned. With that being said, the small decisions we make as organizational leaders everyday shape our impact on the world. Dr. King’s legacy reminds us of the work still needed to achieve justice. For nonprofits, every decision—financial, HR, or leadership—is an opportunity to move closer to equity. How is your organization honoring his vision in 2025? #Leadership #MLKDay #Justice

?? "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly." Dr. King's words from Letter from Birmingham Jail resonate as powerfully today as they did in 1963, illuminating the urgency of addressing injustice and the profound interconnectedness of our struggles. At Margins, we draw strength and guidance from his message as we navigate challenging times in DEI and social justice work. Dr. King’s critique of complacency and calls for “direct, vigorous action” remind us that progress is neither comfortable nor inevitable—it requires persistence, principled leadership, and a deep commitment to equity, even in the face of resistance. This year, we are holding his truths close as we strive to deepen our impact. Our mission remains clear: to create spaces where everyone—especially those on the margins—can thrive. In a world where inequities persist and progress often feels uphill, Dr. King’s vision reminds us that our shared humanity is both a responsibility and a source of strength. Honoring his legacy demands more than reflection; it requires action. Whether you’re advocating for change in your community, leading with equity in your workplace, or supporting those who do, your efforts are vital. Together, we can meet this moment with courage and a commitment to transformative change. Let’s make 2025 a year of bold conversations, meaningful actions, and unrelenting hope. As Dr. King taught us, the arc of history bends toward justice through our collective efforts. How will you contribute to advancing equity and justice this year? Let’s honor his legacy by building a future rooted in fairness, dignity, and opportunity for all. #MLKDay #SocialJustice #Equity #Leadership #OrganizationalChange

***CURSE WORDS AT WORK*** We’ve all heard them, maybe shared them ourselves at times. But today, I wanted to highlight a curse word that has crept in throughout many conversations. The word is: #DEI. *gasps* That’s right, somehow this term has become a word to belittle and misclassify people or companies that choose to make space for multiple walks of life and differing point of views (the irony!). Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is not a pass to let in “unqualified” people for the sake of getting a gold DEI star on your company’s desk. It is a statement that communicates an understanding of the barriers and lack of representation effecting differing people groups. A commitment to DEI is a commitment to see, examine and change systems and structures that are not inclusive. I applaud any and all leaders that are not scared of this “curse word” and work to remove obstacles and speak to blind spots that leadership often has. Martin Luther King Jr. famously said “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” And I’ll say, Blindness to inequity anywhere is a threat to diversity, equity and inclusion everywhere. I’m thankful to lead an ERG & for the current efforts Charles Schwab has put towards DEI. However, there is more work to be done! Let’s keep working towards collective inclusion. ?? #Culture #DEI #Leadership #Inclusion #SchwabLife #ERGs
