“The hospitality and kindness you experience in Pakistan is unmatched” says our founder, Marina Chahboune, every time we return from a visit to the region and this trip was no different. We recently joined forces with Reverse Resources to visit the Punjab region in Pakistan to participate in the KnowTex conference in Faisalabad, but the trip quickly evolved into something more: The warm reception from our hosts and the people of Pakistan led us to extend our stay. During their time there, Marina Chahboune, Manzoor Fareed Hashmi and Nin Castle visited 12 factories and facilities, including waste handlers, recyclers, and vertically integrated manufacturers. They witnessed both the immense potential and the strong desire for sustainable development within the region’s textile industry. The dedication, hard work and the inspiring and enthusiastic conversations with the teams they met truly reinforced our belief in the power of collaborative actions.
