A resilient future waterfront for Portland, Maine ... envisioned! The Harvard University Graduate School of Design studio was honored to be part of the Envision Resilience Challenge this year. The students gave their final presentations last week and are grateful for our guest critics and their feedback: “We were blown away by the development of design concepts for the waterfront and wharves. The toolkit with near term, mid term and long term approaches of protect, integrate and embrace is really such an incredible tool for the community. The long-term thinking in particular was innovative and bold. Kudos to the students for taking on such challenging topics with a courageous?approach?and for delivering such visually compelling graphics. We know that community engagement was a curiosity and a priority for your students, and that was clear throughout?that presentation?of the work.” “The work your students produced is amazing! Very impressive, and they should be proud of all their hard work. Congratulations to you all!” ?????? Stay tuned for a community Open House display in Portland on February 7th and for a document of the full outcomes ...
