On this National Public Lands Day, we’re proud to highlight how Clayton is making a meaningful difference through our partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation. At Clayton, we firmly believe that we can “do good” on a large scale by trusting our partners to excel in their areas of expertise. That’s why we support the Arbor Day Foundation, enabling them to collaborate with local organizations like Green Forests Work to carry out hands-on tree planting. An exciting initiative is the legacy coal mine reforestation project, which focuses on restoring old strip coal mines across West Virginia and Kentucky, including the New River Gorge Regional Development Authority National Park and Preserve. This project helps rehabilitate historically impacted lands while fostering healthier ecosystems and communities. We are joining other partners in this project because we know to do good on a large scale, we need other organizations that want to make an impact. The collaboration between Clayton and Arbor Day has resulted in more than 4.2 million trees planted and more than 8,900 acres of public lands restored since 2022. Today, as we celebrate the importance of public lands, we’re reminded of the vital role they play in providing clean air, clean water and recreational spaces for everyone. Our collaboration with the Arbor Day Foundation and Green Forests Work demonstrates that together, we can achieve more and create lasting positive impacts. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gtkDDUH3
