Oakland County Parks and Recreation staff shared some very exciting updates for the planned improvements known as the 'Oak Park Woods at Shepherd Park' project including new picnic pods, benches, improved lighting, a full shelter upgrade/renovation, warming kitchen for rental events, new treehouse inspired playscapes, restrooms & more. City Manager Erik Tungate - MBA, ICMA-CM, IPMA-SCP and City Council presented current Deputy City Manager Crystal VanVleck with an official proclamation in recognition of and appreciation for her years of dedication and service to the City of Oak Park as she prepares to transition to her new role as the City Manager of Berkley. Oak Park Corridor Improvement Authority-CIA member and local business Gift Me Chocolate was awarded a “Main Street Connected” Grant from Oakland County, Michigan Government/ MSU Federal Credit Union. Funds will allow for new ‘point-of-service’ technology streamlining sales and payment processing for the local, small business. ?? ?
