?? Great News, Sunfish Lake Boulevard Interchange Opens Today! The newly constructed Sunfish Lake Boulevard interchange is planned to fully open late tonight, Friday Nov. 15. Over the next several weeks, crews will continue working to finish sidewalk and topsoil work. Flaggers will be present in these work areas to help direct traffic as this work is completed. Maps are available on the project website showing how to navigate the interchange to and from: ??????????????Oak Terrace Estates ??????????????Sunfish Commons ??????????????McKinley Street Northwest ??????????????Riverdale Drive ??????????????Northeast Frontage Road ? Bluerock recently completed a Highest and Best Use report near the Hamlet of Bragg Creek within the municipality of Rocky View County. Highest and Best Use is defined by the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Practice as “The reasonable, probable and legal use of property, that is physically possible, appropriately supported, and financially feasible, and that results in the highest value.” Highest and Best Use of a property is an economic concept that measures the interaction of four criteria: legally permissible, physical possibility, financial feasibility, and maximum profitability. All temporary Connecting Link detours off Algonquin are in place. Traffic will now divert at Brunette Rd. or Mountjoy St. S., down Second Ave. Heavy truck traffic is taking Shirley and Hwy. 655. Be prepared to stop at temporary traffic lights at Brunette/Second and Second/Mountjoy. The lights this year are flashing red and work as a 3-way and 4-way stop on either end. This should help avoid traffic backing up and improve flow. We also listened when you gently suggested that the stop signs should remain in place on Second at Spruce and Balsam. Aside from a minor issue with a few black bags this afternoon, they are still there! Be prepared to stop. These detours are going to be in place until fall when the Connecting Link construction is complete. It does add more traffic to roads like Second Ave. and Sixth Ave. Be patient with each other and expect some minor delays. Those smooth roads will be worth it! Construction begins next week with demolition of the overpass on Algonquin. We will provide regular updates as we get started.
