How to enroll the Doughnut on a local level - fostering circular economy? Our network got inspiring insights about #DoughnutEconomics in an online workshop with URBACT ad-hoc expert Willem van Winden and our lead-expert Eleni Feleki. ?? Surely, the Doughnut Model can serve well as a framework to plan and evaluate the progress of the local circular transition. It enables local administrations as well as policy makers to integrate not only the social foundation and the ecological ceiling of growth, but also to bring together local aspirations and global connections. Assess and Analyse: position your circular projects within the broader framework of planetary boundaries and social foundations, ensuring they contribute to both environmental sustainability and social wellbeing. ?? Prioritise: Focus your circular initiatives on addressing pressing social shortfalls and ecological overshoot ?? Fund: establish targeted funding mechanisms, such as the Amsterdam Doughnut Deals, to back innovative ideas that advance circular economy projects ?? Boost Communication: Engage in discussions and visualisations that highlight the interplay between environmental and social impacts, deepening the understanding of how circular solutions can create holistic outcomes.

Recognising the importance of circularity for sustainability and carbon targets, CWG aims to become a fully circular neighborhood. Sustainable CT, a statewide, voluntary certification program that supports sustainability best practices in Connecticut municipalities, today announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors. These individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise in sustainability, municipal governance, and community engagement to the organization.
