I want to challenge myself. I want to see if I can do it. I don't know. I think it's just building, you know? It's just how my personality is. My name's Betty Chan and the plan review manager with the building safety department and my role in this department is to oversee the permit center and the plan review section. I joined the city in 2008. I've been working for 15 plus years. That is actually my first public sector job that I stayed, you know, till now. And it's still, I'm still, you know, enjoying working here because of you. With the the challenges, every day it brings that you get to learn new things, even though you've been working on the same kind of area, but yet you know, different projects brings in different, you know, expect different knowledge. And sometimes, you know, I get questions that I've never come across that I need to look into it and it's interesting to find out something new. Our work is to make sure that the buildings are safe and we are kind of checking for code compliance, but at the same time we want to help the customers to be successful. To make sure that the projects complete, you know, in in a timely manner. And, and we're not trying to be roadblock or trying to make things difficult for people. We actually are trying to help, you know, help the community, help the design professional to achieve what their goals is, whatever the timeline will try to work with them. But at the same time, we will not be compromising life safety issues. I've been working with the City of Milpitas for five years and what sets the city of Milpitas apart is going to be their quick response. There are quick solutions, very easy to work with. Anytime I had an issue that very rarely I had to run up the chain, Betty would be able to assist very quickly within the hour and to get it resolved. You know how she dealt with us, I guess, stressful situation with the people involved. And she was patient and she was kind and she was fair. She will suggest options of solutions that people can choose. Not only we provide customer service, but we provide good quality service as well. And that's part of, you know, our job satisfaction that, you know, when you, when you help someone, they are appreciative and they're happy with you know what we provide, what service we provide them that give, you know, kind of like job satisfaction and, and just, you know, you leave work and you feel, you know. Repeat that you've helped someone.

It was great being with the ProcessMaker team in La Paz last week. As our AI agents continue to be integrated across our product, it is amazing how much excitement it is generating. Everything just works so much better. This is one of those watershed moments where the technology we have been pioneering for nearly 15 years is now able to do so much of what we always hoped it could do. You can already build processes 10x-20x faster, and I wouldn't be surprised if you can build 100x faster and better by this time next year. The ability to run processes is also about to get 100x faster and take up significantly less time in organizations as our customers let our AI make decisions based on a history (mining TBs of data) of successful outcome.
