OK, OK. Yeah, you can do that. This is just how we're going to do it. So I've been with the Bedford Police Department for about two years now, currently obviously assigned to the Police canine unit. When I first got into this career back years ago, one of my coworkers who's one of my biggest mentors, Officer Garcia and his canine Gator, they really got that interest going for me because I've been around dogs really my whole life and watching them on patrol, just being super committed to keeping their community safe, doing all kinds of different canine stuff that really interested me. So with police canines, there's a lot of testing you have to do. So we found two different vendors and we ended up in Tulsa, OK with Torchlight Canine. And when we went up there, we just told them, hey, we want, you know, a very social dog that's going to be friendly, be around communities, but also get down to work and narrowed it down to him and another dog. And I was able to walk him around before we left. And just kind of walked around like a little yard, stopped, leaned up against the wall and he, he actually looked and then looked at me, came up, jumped up, licked me, and then sat back down and gave me that look like, let's go do some fun stuff. And so he pretty much chose me. So he had all the qualities. So we, we definitely were comfortable with him. Thank you. So Rocky is trained on four different narcotic odors, which is heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana. So if we do need him for purposes of an open air sniff on say, a vehicle, I'll make sure everybody separated from the car, out of the car so that it's out of his work zone. And as I'm walking around the car, I'm looking for different changes of behavior. And once he catches an odor of what he's trained on, of those four, meth, heroin, cocaine or marijuana, Hill went back to where he got odor from. And he'll kind of narrow down where the odor's strongest. And he'll sit down and he'll stare at where he's getting the odor from. So he's trying to find the odor. Say he finds the odor of methamphetamine. He's not saying methamphetamine in the car. He's saying that there is, you know, the odor of methamphetamine in the car. Rocky is also trained in article detection and he's a locating tool for people, whether that's somebody that's missing, somebody's a suspect just fled from officers. He's able to do all of that for the city of Bedford. It's exciting because he's a dog, but he's another tool for Bedford to use and also the other agencies around because it's not always easy to get a police canine to to assist on, you know, finding missing people or suspects that meet the criteria to use them. Or or finding articles that could be used in a crime. You know, or obviously taking drugs off the street in city of Bedford, which you know, we, we strive to do every single day. And I think we do a really good job and he's, he's excited and we're excited for the community to meet him eventually and do great things.
