In the show Shogun, set in 1600s feudal Japan, an English navigator, John Blackthorne, becomes entangled in the political power struggles of Japanese rulers. The story highlights the strategies and challenges these leaders face in a complex world. One scene in particular that stood out and teaches a valuable lesson is when two characters, Yabushige and Toranaga, engage in a conversation where Yabushige asks, “How does it feel to shape the wind to your will?” Toranaga wisely responds, “I don’t shape the wind; I only study it.” This moment reflects true leadership—adapting to forces, not controlling them. Attended an event at the Embassy of Greece on the lasting influence of Greek classics to mordern world. When the topic turned to AI’s future role, the room was skeptical. So, I asked ChatGPT to channel Plato’s wisdom and write a Greek classic. Here it is and what do you think? Characters: Socrates and Glaucon Socrates: Tell me, Glaucon, what is the purpose of a true leader? Glaucon: To guide the people toward their collective good, Socrates. Socrates: And does the leader seek this good for the people’s sake, or for his own power? Glaucon: It must be for the people’s sake, or he would not be a true leader. Socrates: Then tell me, why do we see so many leaders seeking wealth and glory instead of wisdom? Glaucon: Perhaps they mistake power for true leadership. Socrates: Precisely. The true leader is like a ship’s captain who desires not control of the crew but safe passage for all. He seeks wisdom and justice, not dominance. Glaucon: So we must seek leaders who love wisdom, not those who love power? Socrates: Yes, Glaucon. For only the wise can lead us well, while the power-hungry lead us astray. #PowerofAI #GreekClassics

??????????????????. ?? ?????????????? ?????????????????? ???? ?? ???????????????????? that all leaders can develop and will dramatically change their impact on their organizations. ?? Curiosity requires you to suspend judgment. It requires you to listen and seek understanding actively. The process of Curiosity allows for engagement, inclusion, empowerment, and deep mutual understanding. ?? When I work with my clients to improve their Curiosity, we focus on understanding their natural reactions in certain situations and ask, "How can you be more curious at that moment?". This usually leads to them working on catching those moments, pausing, and then asking a question. ?? “Be curious, not judgmental.” - Ted Lasso-Walt Whitman This quote resonates deeply, especially in leadership, client relationships, and everyday interactions. Curiosity over judgment builds bridges, fosters understanding, and reveals opportunities. As leaders, when we approach our teams with genuine curiosity, we unlock potential, understand motivations, and build trust. Curiosity in client relationships shifts the focus from merely selling to truly understanding needs. By listening and being open-minded, we tailor solutions that genuinely serve our clients’ best interests. This approach strengthens partnerships and builds long-term loyalty. In any role, “be curious” encourages us to drop assumptions, stay open, and engage with those around us meaningfully. Don’t miss the magic in people by closing off; ask questions, understand, and connect. https://lnkd.in/eisW9EWE

The US is on the “silk slipper descending the stairs” phase. Others can see it, even if we’re too wrapped up in our silly squabbles to realize it. We’ve nominated a corrupt senile fool and a corrupt megalomaniac for the 2nd time. It’s not too late to change course. The US can be leaders in shaping the rest of the 21st century, or fade into relative irrelevance as we avoid facing uncomfortable conversations. This video provides a sober and objective perspective on the global order. How do we reshape the conversation to one that is based on principle and not short-term convenience? Only by doing that will we regain our role as leaders on the global stages.

The Black Diamond Process is a unique process where the visionary leader learns to trust at radical levels, be fully seen, and to carve his destiny. Through King Crucible program, we are exploring and activating archetypal energy, not just through the psyche but through the energetic body. What does this mean? :: You learn to operate in deeper integrity :: You activate and apply your highest frequency of power through precise embodiment :: Your work becomes magnetic by default :: Your mighty visions become real, faster and will less effort :: You are not weighed down by hidden limiters because you can see exactly where you have been holding yourself in incremental movement instead of the quantum mastery you seek This is a clip from the very first session of King Crucible. I am holding this experience LIVE one time only and those who choose to join me will have the benefit of my 5 figure mentorship for the two weeks in a private community and on the sessions for under 1k. Can reading make you a better leader? That question, posed by Joe Byerly several years ago, is a recurring theme for me. The answer doesn't necessarily depend on what or how much you read, but if the content spurs #reflection. I can read an article about border security and use that to drive a #conversation about immigration #reform. I can read an old Tom Clancy book and talk for an hour about how #OSINT can be leveraged to craft a bestselling narrative. I can read a superhero comic and spend an entire lunch break discussing how the X-Men are modern manifestations of the heroes of ancient mythology. Read, reflect, repeat. That's what helps you to become a better leader. And take a moment to soak in Joe's thinking: https://lnkd.in/guwqX5Db

Ichigo Ichie is a Japanese proverb with many translations ?one time, one meeting ?one meeting, one lifetime ?experiencing something just once ?Appreciate the present because once in life time 2. How to apply it in our life? ?For others: ?Be kind always ?Focus on who is with you at present ?What if it's the last time we meet each other? ??“Every encounter is precious, because it never happens again". ?For ourselves: ?Be kind to ourselves ?What if tomorrow would never come? ?What would you do if today was your last day? ??“Be happy in the moment, that's enough. Each moment is all we need, not more.” ―?Mother Teresa ??Plus: ??Me: Why is Ichigo-Ichie important in leadership? ??AI:'Ichigo Ichie' is crucial in leadership because it emphasizes the uniqueness and importance of every interaction, encouraging leaders to be fully present and appreciative of each moment.
