https://lnkd.in/gzr7uChU VisualizingWhatsToCome PoPUp....,IconEra..Predicting next Viral Trends In today's fast-paced world, staying ahead of the curve is crucial for success. As markets constantly evolve and personal desires change, it can be a challenge to predict and forecast trends accurately. However, by integrating detailed observation and imagination, one can gain valuable insights and stay ahead of the competition. So, let's dive deeper into how this approach can lead to trend forecasting and prediction, and how it can help us achieve success and prosperity. Detailed observation involves paying close attention to the world around us. It means being aware of societal shifts, consumer behavior, and emerging technologies. By keenly observing these factors, we can identify patterns and trends that can shape the future. Moreover, merging this observation with imagination can open up a whole new world of possibilities. For instance, let's take the example of the fashion industry. By observing consumer behavior and societal changes, a trend forecaster can predict the rise of sustainable fashion. They can then use their imagination to come up with innovative ways to incorporate sustainability into fashion designs. This approach not only benefits the environment but also caters to the growing demand for sustainable products among consumers. However, simply predicting trends is not enough. The key lies in taking actionable steps towards implementing these insights. Actionability is an essential aspect of trend forecasting as it allows us to turn our predictions into tangible results. It involves seizing opportunities that arise from our forecasts and making them a reality. Moreover, taking actionable steps also requires us to have a good understanding of markets and personal desires on a larger scale. It is essential to have a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and societal shifts. By understanding these factors, we can tailor our predictions to cater to the needs and desires of the masses. Besides having a thorough understanding of markets and personal desires, networking and making connections is crucial in mastering trend forecasting. It is an art form in itself as it involves building strong relationships with people in the industry. By networking with experts, we can gain valuable insights and knowledge that can further enhance our trend forecasting abilities. Networking also allows us to collaborate with like-minded individuals and share our ideas. It opens up opportunities for growth and learning, which are essential for staying updated with the ever-changing market landscape. Furthermore, by building strong connections in the industry, we can establish ourselves as thought leaders and gain influence to drive positive change. and use them to our advantage in this ever-evolving world.

On a mission to shift the narrative and amplify producer perspectives on how to make fashion less unsustainable.
2024’s inaugural Manufactured episode is now out ??: it's a conversation between myself, frequent collaborator Divya J., and Ken Pucker. Though it wasn’t necessarily our intention at the outset -?we ended up talking about levers for change.?Ken shares why he has chosen to focus on shifting the rules of the game through legislative action, but we also discuss the need for systemic change, or to rebuild the “whole house” – and the difficult task of shifting cultural beliefs. Ken also reflects on his time at Timberland, and?his realization that despite Timberland being a poster child for sustainability, the company’s environmental impact worsened under his watch.?He shares how this led him to let go of ideas and assumptions based on infinite resources and growth. This episode is part of the "Crossover Moments” miniseries, where we explore?key moments of personal transformation that led people to question and ultimately reject conventional approaches to sustainable fashion. In case you missed them, be sure to check out other episodes in the?series: ??Jessie Li's crossover moment:?she reflects on?working?for a buying office in China, and realizing that so much of the work she and her team were doing was invisible – their stresses and challenges overlooked and ignored. This?made her rethink everything, including how she understands the term “sustainable fashion.” ??Divya Jyoti's crossover moment:?she shares how she once saw?supply chain challenges as mere technical puzzles—codes of conduct and capacity hiccups. However, her transformative moments stem from a shift in perspective and she eventually realizes that sometimes things done in the name of sustainability can have a dehumanizing effect. ??Saqib Sohail's crossover moment:?he shares how?an encounter with local cotton farmers triggered?his journey from perceiving sustainability as a global positive to raising questions about its actual beneficiaries.? ??One of my own crossover moments:?I share how my personal journey with a job title I used to hold -?‘Garment Factory Manager' - led me to realizations about how the?shadows of racism and stereotypes are entrenched in traditional sustainable fashion approaches. https://lnkd.in/eAUbTjkV

CEO | Transition Strategist | Helping leaders and organizations navigate complex transformations, aligning leadership vision with strategic execution
When we talk about global sustainability, we talk about creating systems change to rewire our linear economies into circular ones. It’s hard and it will take trillions of dollars and years to achieve, if even possible. Yet the “easiest” thing we can do at the individual level… is to reduce personal over consumption. What an incredible depiction through creative storytelling and visuals that drive home the point. Feeling guilty… Share this with someone you know who could do with a little reflection. #sustainability #overconsumption #fastfashion
