In early December, I attended the 5th Edition of Washington Arbitration Week remotely. The panel which caught my attention was “Are Dissenting Opinions in Arbitration Useful?” As I’m currently writing my Master’s thesis on dissenting opinions in international commercial arbitration, the discussion was incredibly relevant and insightful. By offering alternative views, panelists Todd Weiler Mallory Silberman Isha Jain and Charles T. Kotuby Jr. , highlighted how there are still divided opinions on the need for dissents as well as their purpose and contribution to international arbitration. This aligns closely with my research, reinforcing that dissenting opinions continue to be a hot topic in the field. Looking forward to continuing my exploration of this interesting area in international arbitration! #Arbitration #DissentingOpinions #InternationalArbitration #MasterThesis #LegalResearch
