One of my favorite things to do is to visit the Asbury Communities, Inc. campuses and instruct our “Best in Class” training series to our Well-being and Activities teams. This ensures a consistent knowledge base and application of principles across all levels of care, system-wide. It’s done in-person with lots of group interaction (old school!). Six topics are being covered this year. Current topic: Exercise that Matters!

Welcome to 2025 and we hope everyone had a great break over Christmas and the New Year. To kick things off this year we have put together one of our favourite videos, demonstrating our commitment to training the next generation. ? A cavity tray training session was held late last year with a team of apprentice bricklayers at NHBC's Training Hub in Tamworth. Our Training Manager Andy Mathers put the team through their paces, starting with some classroom theory about the importance of using cavity trays. He then took them through a practical exercise of installing some Glidevale Protect stepped, leaded cavity trays within a wall rig, involving a variety of our products, including corner catchment, abutment and apex trays. Andy highlighted the key benefits of our trays ranging from integral pitch marks and bed weeps, plus a fleximouth mortar barrier for easy installation of flashing.?It was great to see a very engaged audience showing interest, asking lots of questions as well as getting involved installing the trays and taking pride in their work. ?
