Ask yourself honestly, Are you boring the hell out of everyone at your tradeshow? People want to do business with people …especially people that they like If you are boring everyone …simply standing behind your table …like a sales drone desperate for any lead you can get …you’re wasting your time and money "But we have chocolate …and a give-a-way" ???? Be An Anomaly For every event, your objectives should be three-fold: - Be the talk of the show. - create an experience that inspires visitors to share info about you ?????(aka sell on your behalf) - create content that extends the ROI of the show beyond the day Your goal is not to sell to “a” person or each person Your goal is to create word of mouth that makes folks want to “sell” or talk about you You will effectively multiply yourself If you do that, some of the visitors will also buy from you YAY!! So, take some risks and ask yourself a few questions - Will there be a crowd around my booth that came from word of mouth? - Will the event be memorable beyond the day? - Will I have content for use after the event that is shareable and creates buzz? Your event strategy demands an attitude adjustment It requires a state of mind that is vastly different …a far better experience for booth visitors, …and way more effective marketing overall You can’t sell anything if you don’t get noticed first …and people actually like you Dream BIG! ?????????????????????? ????????????????! Robots?Drumset? Me being able to play on a robotic drumset at the Automate Show ?? This was definitely an awesome experience! While walking the show floor, I saw that Doosan Robotics had a robot demo in their booth, and immediately, I wanted to play. Granted, it was the first time picking up a set of drumsticks ?? in about 15 years since the end of high school band (Yes, I was a band geek). I am really glad I had the opportunity!! Thanks so much to KC Kim and the Doosan Robotics team for making this happen for me.
