This is an exceptional way to deal with people with “agendas” that disrupt an already challenging industry. The Active Shooter Prevention business is a relatively new “cottage industry” business reported to be worth $5.5b annually (source NYT), up $4b from five years ago. That monetary value creates all kinds of people in this industry and creates a need to “police” our own. As one of the original prevention experts in this life-saving business, since 2007, I’ve witnessed the caretakers and the money grabbers. The example is in the “tags” below, competitors with the same goal of detection, but they don’t waste time on each other; they invest time in solutions. We can’t solve a problem with a monetary agenda alone! I follow the human model, fix the problem, save lives, and gain the reward at the end! I applaud the leaders at Evolve for making the tough decisions because accountability will help humanity!
