I congratulate David E. Melon, MD, FACS ‘s thesis acceptance and publication in this month’s Laryngoscope highlighting our private practice’s effort to apply patient journey mapping and care coordination strategies within allergy immunotherapy treatment for chronic disease management of inhalant allergies. https://lnkd.in/eB-8EHzU Core in the study’s finding was the ability to achieve robust high frequency patient engagement data capture achieving survey response rates of over 80% within the collection of over 61,000 survey questions within the study period. The application of electronic health survey instruments, patient reported outcomes, and other measures must have relevance to the patient’s own clinical care goals in order to achieve meaningful response rates for analytical power in future care coordination and patient journey strategies.
