Alright, hello everybody. My name is Owen and I'm a junior talent scout here at Chief of Staff, KC. Today we're gonna be going over 5 common mistakes that candidates make in their interviews and the best ways to avoid them #1 making sure you show up on time. It's always a good habit to arrive to an interview about 5 to 10 minutes before, no sooner or no later than that. Number two, preparing questions. It's always a really good look and first impression if you arrive to an interview with lots of questions prepared. Helps show that you have interest in the position #3 you always want to make sure to dress accordingly, dress professional. Kind of, you know, have a good understanding of the market that your company that you're interviewing for works in and really kind of trying to cater to, you know, that company and their dress code #4 you obviously want to do a good amount of research on the company and the position. Having this knowledge going into into an interview really sets you up as far as, you know, the company. Knows that you're interested in the position, they knows that you're interested in what they do. And then lastly, you know, as you're kind of going through and talking about your background and yourself, it's important to not over explain in this this stage of the interview as well. Oftentimes candidates will get a little carried away and we'll be talking too much. But I think the most important thing is just being personable, being yourself, being honest and being concise in what you say to I guess kind of best highlight why you be the best fit for the. Yeah, those are all of the tips and common mistakes that I see and best of luck in your interview.
