This means ryegrass doesn't germinate all at once but can trail through for several years. 3 years back we started our work on the farm( later to be called as GroveCropico ). The way we started was really with nothing, no plans, no goals, forget goals no idea what 'to do' exactly. This place has tested us alot. With time it showed that we really couldn't do anything without the help from different people in the locality. Small connections making up a beautiful network. My experience here taught me that people help, if you ask. Maybe not always but most of the time yes. When we started I thought I'll be learning about farming. It's a subject so vast that it has time management, planning, people skills, disaster management, resource allocation, innovation, education, marketing, sales, etc. Under it's wing. The thought changed from 'I am alone here' to ' I have many resource people '. The amount of yield that comes from one seed is proof it is meant to share it with people...A communal thing. Collaboration instead competition I think that's going be a good slogan for us. Thank you #GroveCropico

Harvest festivals are a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with the changing seasons and learn about agriculture and community. Here's four of our favourite ways to celebrate Harvest Festival with your pupils: ??Craft Projects: Create harvest-themed crafts like corn husk dolls, paper pumpkins, or leaf collages. These can be great for developing fine motor skills and creativity. ??Cooking Lessons: Have a cooking class where students make simple dishes using seasonal ingredients, like apple sauce or pumpkin muffins. This can also include tasting different harvest foods. ??Harvest Scavenger Hunt: Organise a scavenger hunt with items related to the harvest season, such as mini pumpkins, corn kernels, or Autumn leaves. ??Farm Animal Relay Races: Set up a relay race where students act like different farm animals. This helps with physical activity and teaches them about animals on the farm.
