Who doesn't love new revenue streams with minimal overhead? That's what we found when we added Structured Family Caregiving to our services last year. This program allows family members to get paid for caregiving, bridging financial gaps for countless families while keeping seniors at home longer. This decision not only aligns with our mission but also adds a valuable revenue stream for franchisees. And like our other revenue streams, we have the step by step plan for them to add this service to their locations. Now, ISS franchisees can make a bigger community impact while increasing profitability. It’s a win-win: better care for seniors and stronger businesses for our franchise owners.

Chris Strausz-Clark discusses how the Child Universal Success Platform (CUSP) Strategic Roadmap is to think about the experiences of the child and the family. Transcript: Chris Strausz-Clark (Third Sector Intelligence): The strategic roadmap for CUSP network is always really to think about the experience of the child and the family. So, if you think about any state, you have operational systems such as licensing or?subsidy or whatever. And each of those systems, of course, is really meant to, you know, do the transaction that whether it be the licensing renewal or whether it be that, you know, getting that payment out the door to pay for?the subsidy for the child and the family. But you know at the same time, you need to take a step back and take all of that data and try to put it together in a way that you actually can think about how you are actually serving– what is the child's experience as you go through these steps here and so it's, you know, it's building blocks. Starting with, you know you need to know who your children and the families that you're serving. And then, what kind of services they are receiving. And then, enrollment attendants, are they, you know, are they able to enroll and then attend in a way that is, you know, they don't have to wait, or, you know, that there's service, you know, that's near enough to where they live etcetera, etcetera. And then you get into learning and their experiences and outcomes, and so we have, you know, used, it's a its own version, of course, but we've used things like the step framework and easy framework from EC dataworks and such, to really put all this together. What makes FindA Doula different? It’s all in our priorities. Our end goal is simple and yet powerful: Better outcomes for birthing mothers. And we believe that Doulas can help achieve that. We do not and will never take commissions from our Doulas; a Doula’s earnings are 100% their own. We constantly advertise to promote our Doulas and their services, so they can focus on the families that need them. We have no involvement in communications between Doulas and their clients; all contact is private & confidential. We’re an independent and neutral directory; we’re not here to sell a course or promote a product and we’re not commercially aligned. We are always working to educate parents about the benefits of engaging a Doula, and they will always search the Directory for FREE. Our focus is on connecting Doulas with parents in order to achieve our end goal: better outcomes for birthing mothers.

While supporting the tuition waiver, it's crucial to acknowledge that it's a short-sighted solution that won't address the root of the problem. The de-valuation of a career in primary care, along with the lack of priority in adequately financing the primary care system, requires a comprehensive strategy. Simply increasing remuneration and incentives hasn't solved the rural physician recruitment issue, so how would it improve access to care across Ontario? To truly enhance primary care, promoting family medicine as a career is essential. This includes educational reforms to address the hidden curriculum diminishing the role of Family Medicine Doctors. Additionally, supporting family physicians who teach, coach, and assess is vital, considering their increasing role and often invisible contributions. Recognizing the valuable input of International Medical Graduates and aiding them in obtaining licenses is crucial. We don't train international students in medical school unless funded outside publically funded positions. Fact check needed. A well-rounded approach involves funding an interprofessional primary care system with proper infrastructure and well-compensated providers in Interprofessional Primary Care PMH Models and Family Medicine Doctor networks. Connecting these networks to providers and services within an integrated primary care system is key with a new focus on chronic disease management and the elderly. The Community Health Centre model with a social determinants of health focus is good but our population has aged and teambased models need to reflect the needs of the population. Educational reforms coupled with practice enhancements are necessary. How does this Ford's decision align with Philpott's Primary Action Plan? #primarycarecrisis #teambasedprimarycare.
