Some clever thematic pricing, that's also appetizing for "value oriented" customers - (like me)??. One commenter even suggested nickel ($0.05) pricing to represent the original IRT fare maintained for over 50 years.(!) The cobranded wrapper with route strip to Zabar's destination is also nicely done in period appropriate graphics & font. My #InsuranceStory: I went to college for Criminal Justice and Arabic. Super insurancey right?!?! WRONG! I worked in various #jobs in Probation and Parole, Corrections as well as a social worker after I graduated. They were all jobs to me. I went overseas and became a defense contractor. I was responsible for going off base and surveying battle damaged vehicles and bringing them back to base for retrograde or disposing of them. Essentially material damage adjusting or field auto appraising of multi-million dollar vehicles. I was getting ready to come home and end my second contract and I put an application at Erie Insurance Group. Why? Advice from my Father: "If you're going to come back to your hometown, you might as well work at the best company in your hometown while you figure out what you want to do next." Little did I know what would come next is 11 great years with the organization, countless friendships and partnerships. Insurance was meant to be a stepping stone to something else. I found myself on stage with some very bright people. I was respectful, but I had to say it: “America is a ladder, and you can climb as high as you want.” Then, someone on the panel responded: “Well, it could be a ladder, but it could also be like a lattice – you go sideways. ”I sat there thinking, Who wants to go sideways? Nobody I know wants to go sideways. That’s not my vision. Now, I get it – there are different perspectives. If you’re a mom raising kids, that’s not going sideways. That’s the most noble, upward direction anyone can take. But for me, right now? I don’t aspire to relax and coast. That’s not in my plan. I’m still young – crazy, right? I’m 63, soon to be 64, and my plan is to keep moving forward. No sideways for me, not at this stage. One of the other panelists was a VP of the Penske group. I told him, his boss, Roger Penske, is a hero to me. Mr. Penske is in his 80s, still working six or seven days a week. When I asked what he does to relax, the answer was NASCAR on a Saturday or Sunday – and that’s still work for him. But isn’t that something? When your idea of relaxation is also your vocation, you’re truly aligned. That’s what I aspire to – working into my 80s, just like Mr. Penske, and enjoying every moment of it. He’s done so well across so many industries, and I look up to people like that.

The premium carmaker has been supplying cars to the Vatican for 94 years and for the past 45 years, the Pope has been using the renowned ‘Popemobiles’ based on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
