I’m very happy that I read Building Thinking Classrooms.?Peter Lilljedahl does an amazing job of illuminating enormous problems with how math is taught and learned in many classrooms.?Increasing student engagement, consolidating from the bottom, helping students enter a state of flow, and MOST importantly creating consistent opportunities for students to think are incredibly important.?I just question if his 14 teaching practices for enhancing learning are the best ways to achieve this. https://lnkd.in/gWH_my4A https://lnkd.in/g4WDzN6q https://lnkd.in/g4WDzN6q

?The FEYNMAN technique of learning ??:?? 1. Pick and study a topic. 2. Explain the topic to someone, like a child, who is unfamiliar with the topic. 3. Identify any gaps in your understanding. 4. Review and simplify!?? Prof. Feynman has placed a lot of emphasis on teaching. I think in the future I would love to start some form of teaching as well. What are your calls? Because of what I think, there is no single calling. We learn and develop multiple interests in our lives as we move forward
