Join Me in Exploring New Realities

I am proud to announce that PMI’s Disciplined Agile (DA) is the Premiere Sponsor for Requisite Agility’s Exploring New Realities virtual event.  Requisite Agility (RA) enables individuals, teams and organizations to grow through turbulence and chaos, in today’s complex, uncertain, rapidly changing world. In short, RA is an important complement to DA which is why we have such a great relationship with the RA community.

The purpose of this RA event is for all of us to rally together to envisage the future of organizations and leadership, together. Rather than find ways to avoid or deny turbulence and chaos, RA taps the energy in change and puts it to use in the required or necessary transformation. The goal is to use the time we have now to create our new future on the day after and beyond! There are three steps in our online journey:

Discovery: June 18 and 19, 11:00-14:30 EST each day. Our twelve explorers, industry leaders such as Diana Larsen, Pierre Neis, Sabine Neuenschwander, Dr. Stephen Clement, Padmini Nidumolu, and many others will each spend 30 minutes introducing us to a topic that they will lead us through in the coming days of exploration. These topics are:

  • The structures of work
  • The recovery CEO - now what?
  • Learning how to dance with change
  • The future of your mind: Partnering with nature
  • From whale to swarm
  • Change, fear, limits, and the path forward
  • How can the current pandemic bring greater awareness of the need for a gender-balanced future?
  • Crisis, total football, and human needs
  • From zero to hero - a true story of how someone's life completely changed due to the use of agile tools
  • Every day is a new shared reality and alignment is more important than ever
  • What happens next and how do we prepare?
  • What does steering through homelessness teach about using uncertainty and ambiguity

Exploration: June 22 to July 7, 11:00am-12:00 each day. Each day one of our explorers will guide us through a discussion about their topic. Our goal for these explorations is to share and integrate the insights that emerge from the community of participation. These explorations are scheduled for one hour, although may go longer in some cases if people wish to hang around afterwards to continue the conversation.

Activation: July 8-10, 11:00-12:00 EST each day. Our journey finishes with 3 one-hour panel sessions led by myself to help bridge our two weeks of sharing discoveries and explorations into real life activation. These panel sessions are organized by topic - Organizational Agility (Wednesday), Team Agility (Thursday), and Personal Agility (Friday) - and provides an opportunity to hear from four like-minded explorers each day.

For more details, visit the event program here and the frequently asked questions (FAQ) page here. The event costs $49 US for All-Access and $89 US for Premium Access and you can register here. I'm personally looking forward to this and I hope to see you there.
