Head's up! There's a donation scam that's been targeting nonprofit organizations nationwide. The scam involves sending a check as a "donation" to the nonprofit, then claiming they "overpaid" how much they were going to donate so the nonprofit sends them money back. In reality, the original check bounces a few days later and nonprofits are losing thousands this way.
