Until now, power plants have been able to release unlimited carbon emissions, contributing to the #extremeweather we've seen this summer. ?? The EPA's regulations for existing coal-fired and new gas-fired power plants are crucial for reducing #climatepollution and protecting public health. Today's ruling correctly dismisses the absurdity of polluters seeking emergency relief from standards that won't take effect for years, marking a victory in the fight against #climatechange. ??? However, the battle continues, as polluters plan to challenge these essential standards in lower courts. It is vital for the lower court to act swiftly on the merits of the case. We remain committed to #DefendOurClimate and advocate for further federal action on climate pollution.
