It's been a pleasure assisting Change Healthcare with their HEDIS Remote Nurses the past 4 years. Our Hedis nurses also have had the honor to be employed by United Health/Optum the past 3 to 4 years. Now two amazing companies become one in HEDIS, Risk Management and Utilization Review. #riskmanagement #optum #unitedhealthcare #remotenurse #utilizationmanagement #hedis #rncareers #rnjobs #managedcare #lpns #nurseblogger Optum UnitedHealthcare
I received a notice that my information was breached. I'm annoyed first of all that it too 6 months to be notified. The letter included a phone number but it connects to IDX fir credit monitoring. I have made multiple calls over the last 10 days and each time, the agent has put in an escalation request so I can speak with someone. No one has called me back. In my last call, the agent informed me that they are no longer permitted to submit these. The handling of this has been pathetic to say the least and I'm not alone as I see several class action lawsuits have already been filed. Companies such as Change Healthcare need to do better in not only handling client data but the aftermath when they fail.

This improvement company got bought by Optum, which is part of United healthcare. There are many moving parts to healthcare… we really need better healthcare interoperability… the connections with commmunity matter a lot. The reality of multi sector work and realism while considering the vast efforts of health consolidation… I’m not an huge fan of one big pool… monopolies don’t work… but, big and large divisions of very diverse needs and silos. It’s a lot to take in, I get that. We need to protect rights of patients, providers and systems… communities and stake holder investments… translational medicine and infrastructure/innovation/energy/tools… so many things. #LoveEVICTShate
So, I got a letter about a data breach with Change and have been having problems acquiring my 2 years of credit monitoring with IDX. After over an hour on hold due to excessive call volumes with both agencies, I have given up. There is no email or other contact information other than a toll free number that leaves you on hold forever. It feels as though Change does not want me to get the credit monitoring, perhaps as a cost savings measure. (?) Regardless, when a company risks clients private information, they must do the right thing. Let me know when you're going to do that. ??
optum is part of United/aarp... these are organizations of change being bought by large health conglomerates. The ROI to patients and the ability for change to grow and improve metrics... needs authentic community connections between streams and pools and communities. The needs of health interoperability and rights of patients and family are very real.
Curious how the cyber attack on Change Healthcare is negatively affecting local retail pharmacies such as Safeway, Sav-On, and Costco while the Optum mail order pharmacies are unaffected and still able to receive electronic prescriptions? It's been 7 days since these local pharmacies have been able to receive electronic prescriptions from area clinics and hospitals. Meanwhile, Optum mail order pharmacies are operating business as usual with zero disruption.
When will you get your acts together, it's been 6 weeks and still Pharmacy cannot process manufacturers discount coupons leaving us holding the bag with double to quadruple copays
Does this mean more ways to rip off plans, patients, taxpayers, and pharmacies? Anytime a PBM has change, buyer beware! It won’t be good!

1 个月Consider… this is/was a consulting company which got bought out by Optum which is a part of United and or the aarp conglomerate. We had a family member who’s information was compromised… yet, he was but a part of any of these parts or organizational alignments. Now, I also have past histories with working with local IDN’s and various sites of care… and there are other health consulting companies and academic institutions which align into these mixes. The concepts of funding streams and coding and digital footprints and data… risks and investments and procedures and providers and transactions and translations and research. Many institutions are very quick to lay claim to rights of privacy. But, that is only parts of the story… it’s also control and competition and proxy and profit centers. There are very real issues and needs of better… there’s a lot going on… taxes and creative finances and vendors and all sorts of intersections. I also… very much care about my family and their information and what that means in local and larger contexts. Markets and humans and governance. Community and better… interopebilitiy… light. Privacy, transparency and proper oversight. Health, climate and tools.
