Nuro was thrilled to have our vehicle in downtown #Fresno (FresYes!) last night as a stop on our National AI Data Collection Initiative journey. Hearing from community members in Fresno, who may have very limited to no exposure to autonomy, what their hopes are for autonomy was enlightening. A brief summary: - providing mobility options for the aging population who don't want to/can't safely drive, - potential to provide a more affordable mode of travel, - importance of AVs creating a more efficient transportation system, and - the question.."when will we have this in Fresno?!" An added bonus was connecting with friends who have been leading Fresno forward for many years - Miguel Arias, Bryn Forhan and Elliott Balch. A special thanks to Elliott for inviting us to the new "Why Not Wednesday" event in downtown. Can't wait to see what else is in store for this fine city! #autonomousvehicles #ai #cities
