Select a quiet, well-lit space for your interview, ensure there are no distractions or background noise that could disrupt the conversation. When preparing to attend virtual career fairs, pay close attention to instructions of the employers. Normally, I provide a block of instruction to visit my organization's career portal steps to finding positions, jotting down position ID#s and titles and provide to myself or staff when connected. Unlike in-person events, some virtual career fair platforms time conversations and the end abruptly. I want to ensure everyone makes the best of the time designated to connect with our staff. This also cuts down staff having to identify opportunities for you. Prior to hiring events: Always Research Employers You Want To Connect With.
