● Help Support the Kids’ Chance Mission During Awareness Week 2024. ● Every Action Makes a Difference in These Kids’ Lives. When a worker gets injured on the job, it doesn’t just affect them — it affects their entire family, especially their kids. That’s why our 50 Kids’ Chance state organizations provide scholarships and support to the kids of workers who have been injured on the job. We want to ensure these kids can complete their education and go on to fulfilling and gainful careers. Since 1988, Kids’ Chance state organizations have awarded over 10,000 scholarships totaling over $36 million dollars. But we know there are more kids in need of assistance. Kids’ Chance Awareness Week is a time when every member of the Kids’ Chance community can support our mission, these families, and these kids. By coming together one week each year, we concentrate our efforts, which boosts our volume. This year, Kids’ Chance Awareness Week is November 18-22, 2024. Join our national movement for one day or for the whole week. Here’s what you can do to support our mission during Awareness Week: ● Make a donation to Kids’ Chance of Connecticut www.kidschancect.org and challenge your colleges to do the same. ● Spread the word about Kids’ Chance on social media using #KidsChanceofCT and #MoreMoneyforMoreKids

I think everyone knows by now that I am a big proponent of Good Sports, Inc. and their mission to help kids get active. Now that school is back in session, it's a good time to remember that for too many children, the school year means missed opportunities for physical activity. 79% of U.S. kids aren't meeting daily exercise guidelines. Schools are struggling with budget cuts and a lack of equipment, leaving P.E. classes and recess programs in a dire state. But there's still time to make a difference. Good Sports is working tirelessly to ensure that every child has the chance to play this school year. They're delivering brand-new sports equipment to schools in need, empowering P.E. teachers, and filling playgrounds with laughter and activity. Your donation today can have a ripple effect that lasts far beyond the school bell. It can: - Help a child discover a hidden talent or passion. - Boost confidence and self-esteem. - Improve focus and academic performance. - Foster teamwork and friendships. - Create memories that last a lifetime. https://lnkd.in/evFxtRGU

While the core of Resource Synergy’s work is to better the environment and economy, we are also dedicated to supporting our community. As a triple bottom line company, we’ve set aside a portion of our revenue to support charitable causes. We recently invested some of this fund in Priority Spokane. Here’s why: In 2009, the community asked for attainable education for their youth and Priority Spokane listened. Knowing that lack of education is linked to intergenerational cycles of poverty and poor health and that graduation rates at the local public schools were at 60%, Priority Spokane’s team decided it was going to be the goal. They tackled the project, and within five years, they saw the graduation rates rise to 80%! This is just one of the many awesome reasons they won the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Culture of Health Prize in 2014. Today, Priority Spokane has set its top four priorities to: 1) Improving public safety and mental health service access, 2) Building local capacity for childcare, 3) Increasing the tree canopy to improve the environment in neighborhoods of Spokane, and 4) To promote housing innovations such as shared equity housing, tiny homes, and cooperative living to help address the housing shortage. #community #Spokane #ResourceSynergy
