A crucial Project Engineer has just submitted their four-week notice. You have a major project deadline in eight weeks. Finding the right replacement could take 8-10 weeks in the current job market. We see this too often. It's the reason why we assist our clients not only with direct hires but also by providing key talent on a contract basis. Many of the best Project Engineers in the Pharma/Biopharma space prefer contract work over full-time positions. This compromise in talent acquisition strategy is a common one: ? Hire people with less experience and train them (Hire for will, train for skill). ? Hire 2-3 more junior people in replacement of the single senior hire you could make, but can be hard to find/secure. Gateway and entry roles are essential, succession planning and ensuring you’re not top heavy as a business is essential, internal mobility and allowing people to have a bright and clear career path/future in your business is essential. Bid Director Renewables/Data Centre Ireland So what does a good Bid look like? Here's my take.... 1. Client pain points - Identify client challenges and goals and align Bid to meet those objectives. 2. Strong technical Proposal - Define the deliverables and timelines and showcase your unique appraoch. 3. Pricing - Transparency & Value. Breakdown costs and show value for money, quality and safety. 4. Experience & Capability - Show your track record, highlight key personnel and demonstrate company's capacity to deliver on time and within budget. 5. Compliance & Risk - Ensure the bid risk proof and meets all legal, environmental, and safety standards. 6. Added Value - What's your differentiator? Faster delivery, superior quality & safety, extended warranties, post completion support, etc. You'll obviously add some gloss to that. And that's exactly what we want. We see you as a Bid Director coming from a general contracting background where you've been coordinating teams, having up to 40 direct reports, managing timelines for bid preparation and submission, analyzing competitors and staying close to clients. H&MV Engineering is nearly 1400 strong now and with a global footprint getting bigger every year.
